I've wondered and written about dreams a lot. It is one thing that has forced me to ponder upon constantly besides the workings of seeds. Yeah, I know. I am still baffled how a banana seed grows into such a huge tree and continues to branch off into shoots that grow into new trees!
Going back to dreams...
When we dream, does our brain process what we know and present an alternate reality combining our current struggles, past memories, and subconscious desires? Are dreams merely a way for our brain to defragment itself while we sleep? Or are they a portal to another dimension?
While science tells us they are the former, our experiences sometimes make us question if there's more to it. Either way, dreams remain a fascinating subject for any science fiction writer.
